davis6110
ok so i was driving home from a small journey the last night and supra was running perfect so had no worries, i pulled into a garage to get some fuel when i noticed heaps of steam coming from the bonnet but when i checked the temp gauge it was fine so i popped the bonnet to be greeted with a massive cloud of steam and a hiss of high pressure coming from somewhere down the left hand side or maybe the back of the engine ( thats where it sounded like anyway ). Then i noticed all the brown water underneath the car. My initial thought was oh no its blown the head. So i checked the oil filler but there was no water in the oil ( not milky ) but the engine coolant had gone and leaving a tiny bit of browny coloured water in the coolant tank and the radiator. But the car still turns over fine and runs fine its just losing pressure somewhere so i dont think it a head gasket. Now i dont really know what the problem could be this is why im asking if anyone has had this before, there is one thing i noticed and thats that the mesh grill on the front of my supra has been bent back and the heat shield padding has been knocked back as if i have hit a bird or something and not noticed. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Edited August 1, 2012 by davis6110 (see edit history)
Nic
My guess would be one of the core plugs is leaking.

Swampy442
Could be the pipe at the back of the head that goes to the heater matrix, theyre known to fail.
