Kaan W Posted July 30, 2012 Share Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) So ive been looking at getting a new radiator but some of them are made specificly for manuals only. Apart from the bottom half of auto radiators having the trans cooler built in is there any other difference or is this why they specify for manuals only? Because ive got a twin box cooler anyway so I can just go with the manual radiator right? Kaan W Posted August 2, 2012 Author Share Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) So I have just got my aftermarket manual radiator today and the cap from my auto rad is too small not only that, the size of the thread on the water temp sensor at the bottom is too small also. ripped_fear Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 The first Ebay one that arived came dented, scratched, bent fins and grease on the mounting as if someone had already fitted it, contacted the company and they picked it up and sent a new one out. The new one Came and was in good conditon but had been made on and angle so the top mounting fitted and so did the bottom ones, but when the bottom was ligned up the top where out by around an inch! Sent this back over a week ago and am waiting for a refund. The company has been nothing but helpfull but the item was shocking. The new oem one is going to cost me around £50 more, if I had know this i would have never ordered the other one. If i was to order it from Toyota they wanted alot more though! Thats never good mate a twisted rad I havent test fit mine yet but all looks ok at the moment. Only thing that dont fit is the water temp sensor.
