Jake
Mine is just because my last name is Jacobs. All the fellas in my family are called Jake. At my Nan's house when the phone rang it was like "Is Jake there?" "No sorry he's out" "Oh OK, can I speak to Jake then?" "He's not home from work yet" "Alright, what about Jake?" "Yeah, speaking"

klump
Bit of a long one mine but i will try to keep it short, Came from mates at work when having a bit of a laugh, they for some reason think that i eat quite a lot and get p*ssed off that i dont put on any weight - work with a lot of women, Came to talking about films and the Nutty Prof was brought up, now because he ate a hell off a lot but kept thin by taking pills they said that it was me, the family name in the film was Klump And thats it really
Fire148
I got stopped on my Fireblade and the rozzer reckoned my average speed was 148 mph ... hence Fire148. His Vascar unit must have been broken, I thought I was only doing about 65 3 month ban and £850 fine ... nowadays you'd get a year plus a retest for that speed. Dale B
Mine originated from when I was an "on-line gamer". I started with Delta Force (all 3 versions), then onto Ghost Recon and various others. Now its just habit, when ever I register for anything I use boneyard.
MaveriK
Coz i look like Tom Cruise except he has less hair and is shorter, slimmer, richer, better looking and has no doubt kicked Nicole Kidmans back door in!! Used to play hearts in the good old days of 3.11 (when techies were techies) and Maverick was a James Garner character of a gambler and it just seemed to fit. The Top Gun theme now follows i guess as i drive a rocket ship of a car and i FCUKING LOVE it !
Pete
Same as Boney - originated from computer games on the Amiga. Playing RPG charicters in Dungeon Master type games I'd usually choose the Rogue character as they had certain abilities (lock picking etc). I then started using it on high score charts etc so it just stuck. Thinking of getting it changed to my real name as people think I'm dodgy! how_supra
Well I thought mine was quite obvious. Whilst I do feel silly explaining, I shall give it a go its basically a play on words "how super" = "how supra" and as Supra's are obviously super, it makes perfect sense to call myself how_supra. On previous forums and my nickname at Uni was Spoon. For obvious reasons I chose not to have that as my username
Aerotop Dave
I always think mine runs the danger of making me look like an air head (ie, a bit thick). Still... it would be equally accurate I guess.
MRX
In my younger days I used to DJ at local clubs and parties etc under the name RobX... So hence the nickname Mr X and the number plate MRX.
Barney
Surname is Barnes and most of my life my nickname has been Barney...simple as that.
Supragal
I reckon I can have a stab at Green Peace's reason. Originally called Green Supra (becuase he has a green supra!) then he was always standing up for himself so was always involved in tetchy threads so changed it to 'peace' either for irony or to try and reiterate that he's nice!! Bill Prawn
Muppets from Space. Pepe the Prawn (see avatar) does something good and Fozzie says the shrimp did well. To which Pepe replies: "I am not a shrimp I am a KING PRAWN" This became a phrase used at home and Prawn stuck. Bill was added as a psuedonym to use on various websites. He was slagged off and banned and even published in different things. Trouble is that everyone knows it's me now so he has to behave

attilauk
my grandad is ukranian and we can trace our family history back to a warlord called Taras Bulba (the film bears no resembalance to the real man), no one knew who he was so i used to tell people he was kinda like Attila the hun, Attila stuck. whenever i used to sign up for anything online the username Attila was usually taken so i just tacked a uk on the end of it and the rest as they say is history
