BOB B
I am just about to start to replace my UK auto rad with an after market one and I also have to fit an auto box Setrab cooler, can anyone give me advice on where the best place to fit it on a uk is, because there isn't a lot of room. Thanks.
SamuraiFlash
I've got mine mounted behind one of the side vents behind the front bumper.

BOB B
near side front behind bumper Will it be best to do this with the bumper off or fit it when I change the rad? presumably it sits in front of the rad. Would it go behind the side vents even though there is the IC behind one and another cooler (presumably the oil cooler) behind the other?
LOGIE
I'd fit it at the vent on the front bumper, near-side just under the indicator. As said above.
D8MOA
So you allready have a cooler in the other side vent? (near side) I would make up a bracket and put it there! You can't do the offside as the Intercooler is in the way and I wouldn't put it in the center as theres already the rad/ air con rad there
baldy
if your putting it a bumper vent air flow you will need a fan on it for when your stuck in traffic,as you wont be utilising the air flow from the viscous fan. you will cook the trans fluid if you dont. i'll get some pics up of mine tomorrow for you Edited July 29, 2012 by baldy (see edit history)
garethr
Right in front of the radiator where it's in properly ducted airflow.

baldy
pics as promised the fan is wired via a relay, switched by a temp switch in the trans sump
fordy_alexsupra
Mine is in front of my a/c rad (I removed the a/c fan). My cooler and zip-ties were supplied by 'LeeP' he suggested it was the best place because the viscous fan can still suck air through over the cooler in traffic. dan294
I too have asked Lee about this. I have one going on soon, he said he always fits them in the middle of the AC Rad in direct line with the viscous fan. Suppose if you're doing a lot of town driving and stop start etc, the cooler won't get sufficient airflow if mounted under the passenger headlight unless it's got a fan. BOB B
Thanks for all your help and advice, I think what lee says sounds like logical advice and I supose he should know, I think when it comes I'll take the bumper off and have a good look.
