abtin90
I got asked this in anther thread, so thought it would be best replying here... The front bumper doesn't fit proper on the drivers side and leaves a gap between light and bumper There's a paint blister on the drivers side air duct on the bumper (by the intercooler pipe) Rear spoiler wasn't prepared or sanded back after being painted Engine undertray wasn't ecured back on, so has just caught my tyre and is now in bits (just been cable tied back in place untill new one sourced) The stock side pods and trim were paint fully in silver (not putting the bottom half in black) Wing mirrors weren't removed for spraying Door locks weren't masked up (i now can't see the LED green ring on the lock) Various paint cracking already on the front bumper Dent on the bonnet not sorted I only noticed these yesterday once i was home and gave the car a good clean, before i could call him and tell him what i found, i was running late for work! It WILL be getting sorted proper once im back from JAE next week Sorry to hear that mate, is this a shop you have used before? Also as mentioned I'd contact him ASAP to let him know so he has no excuses. Hopefully you get it sorted without any further unnecessary hassle. Hammer
Shame the jobs not up to scratch Alex, the lower sills show poor, especially as it has the front lip, it needs the black line through to the back. At least you have it back though mate and it looks good on them wheels. As said get in touch with him to let him know your not happy so he will hopefully be ready for your return from JAE. drift_bear
So JAE was the first event with the car looking how it does after the makeover, and the comments that were passed makes it all worth while! The car performed brilliant on the long drive and even had some fun with a couple of bikes while heading down. As i said in various posts earlier, i would revel the real reason why i went stock body and also my future plans. A few of the guys were told over the weekend what they were so maybe its time to add it to here......or is it :p

drift_bear
I thought it would be about time that i let the cat out the bag and tell everyone what im doing... **This will not be a quick build like my hybrids, i will be taking my time and doing it all proper over the next 12months!! After thinking long and hard about what route i wanted to take the supra. So i spent more and more time on supra forums and liked the way they looked and had the power to match! If you go back a few pages on here, you will notice that i had originally planned to go big single with a precision 6266 turbo. Since then i was doing some more reading and time spent on the forum, but i knew i wanted something that hasn't been done much (apart from a handful of members) and at that time something special popped up in the far sale section....HKS GT2835 big twins! It was a complete kit and at a great price, so i couldn't resist buying it HKS GT2835 turbos - polished HKS manifolds HKS wastegates HKS downpipes HKS midpipe HKS air filters with pipework And all of the oil feeds/returns, water feeds required. After a couple of weeks i received all the parts, so like a kid at xmas i went through the box and had a look at everything that i had just bought! I knew the twins were a big kit, but i didn't actually realise how big a kit it actually was and the size of the turbos lol. I then set about and broke the news to lee that he will be doing the build again at SRD at somepoint in the new year, so we set about and he has made me a list of what all i need to get still........ we then had another thought and have decided to go all out again and have chose to not only fit big twins, but to also go 3.4 STROKER! We are aware that there is a 3.5 big twins currently being built, there is still nobody else that has went down this route, so it will make it a rather special build and a complete animal! **The parts list still to get SRD Stroker Block SRD Stage 5 Head SRD Stage 3 Cams Shimless Buckets Gasket Set Oil Pump H11 Stud Kit Fluidampr BTBTB Gates racing Belt HKS Cam Pulleys Fuel System Larger Asnu inj OS Giken Diff Fitting Kit ETS 5” Intercooler Custom Pipe work HKS Clutch Clutch fitting kit HKS Gaskets 4” Exhaust Sustem Misc parts and fluids Will hopefully get the car down to SRD at the start of next year and then get going on it! Since i have a holiday to Japan in November, i am going to try and save costs and pick up parts while i am across there!
