drift_bear
at least you will be done with the previous body-shops work bud. Just a pita really, I'm missing all the nice weather and have no idea when it's going to be done
drift_bear
Bit of a bitch that Alex but will be a better job in the long run. Yeah Adam, saves trying to blend the old silver paint with the old stuff. Every panel was getting done apart from the doors and roof, so it makes sense for a full spray
gdog1989
Im no expert on paint but can't you just have it all done with the glass masked off as its the same colour?
drift_bear
Im no expert on paint but can't you just have it all done with the glass masked off as its the same colour? The rear window will be coming out anyway due to the boot lid being red dude, I'm just being fussy and wanting it done proper really
thetrashcanman
After thinking about it over night, I have decided to get a full respray in the original 199 silver, glass out and etc! Hopefully won't be to long but not holding my breath! DJG you spanner
abtin90
As above if your going for a full respray you might as well change the colour to green while your at it. Then you'll have no excuse to sell it in a months time
drift_bear
DJG you spanner Before anyone else tries to be a smart arse, I WILL NOT EVER spray a supra green, it needs to say 6P3 on the vin plate! As above if your going for a full respray you might as well change the colour to green while your at it. Then you'll have no excuse to sell it in a months time I'm not really caring about a green supra anymore tbh, it's not as if I haven't had one before

drift_bear
Since the car is still in the body shop getting the full works, Ive started making a list of what I still need to do to the car. With my trip to Japan in November, funds are going to be limited/split between the car and that! The list so far is - Refurb headlights Fit hecklers led sidelight/indicators Refurb alloys (or change them to XXR 531's if I can) New rear tyres (again depends if I change the wheels) Start the parts shopping for the single build

Supra N_A
nice one mate this is what it needed stock body and defently a set of new rims looking forward to see the result
drift_bear
nice one mate this is what it needed stock body and defently a set of new rims looking forward to see the result Well the wheels will be waiting for a while, got more important things to pay for, so will be just using spacers instead for the time being. Just went and visited the body shop to see how they were getting on, and success at last! The top secret front bumper is off, along with the do-luck rear (in pieces due to so much bond being used) and the bomex skirts. I can see this taken a while to get used to
DaveR
I've just seen your car in the Street Life section of this month's Banzai mag, mate. Looking very nice in her previous trim (sporting a certain Do-Luck item that looks VERY like one I've just got...! ). You'll have to send an updated pic to them when she returns to stock.
