antno
Just wondering when you fit a boost controller to a tt supra do you fit to just the wastegate or to the bypass valve actuator aswell. Mines plumbed into both ATM. It's been creating a bar of boost on the first turbo which I take it would be overspeeding it. I have just replaced both turbos and vacuum lines due to damaged turbos don't want to scrap another set. It's overboosting on both turbos aswel so I'm going to put it back to standard to see if it cures any of the problems. It wasnt overboosting on both before but was creating a bar on the first. What's the best way to check the bypass valve actuator and vsvs Cheers antno
ashbuster
hi mate it will overboost and you will get fuel cut but thats just because you need a fuel cut defender to stop the fuelcut. do you have a jap or uk? and do you have both cats removed? also do you have a restrictor ring? also to answer your question... plumb it into the front turbo , heres a diagram, Edited July 23, 2012 by ashbuster (see edit history)
antno
Ye it's full decat. F con silver, boost controller. front mount. Got a ristrictor ring. Ive just had it all apart and worked out how it all works. I wonderd why it was also plumbed into the bypass valve actuator. That should should sort my first turbo out. Cheers pal. O it's a jap spec tt6. I think it's bpu
antno
Also what's the crack with this ristrictor ring. Fair enough the wastegate valves don't let enough exhaust gases out to control the boost levels but if you restrict the gass flow futher down the exhaust won't thus create excessive heat in the turbo. Just wondering what the theory behind it. It obviously works just wonderd how? Cheers
