Saw the gt86 at my local Toyota garage the other day in the flesh & to me just looks like an updated version of a celica but still very nice but wouldn't call it the new supra I call it the new celica

This..!!

Saw a black one up in the lakes and thought it looked quite tasty. Whether I would have one or not is another matter.

:yeahthat:

Unless they build one with a bigger engine, and a couple of turbos, I'm not interested.

However, I have always said the gen7 celica should have been rear wheel drive, and it looks like Toyota have finally decided that too. About time a new mid size Jap sports coupe came about imo. Lets hope its a sign of more (bigger and beefier) things to come :D

I test drove the GT86 on Saturday. Very nice car, stick like shit to fur around the bends and the handling and feedback are sublime. Toyota achieved exactly what they wanted form it for sure, doesn't feel like it lacks power IMO. It is a very different breed to the Supra though, if the GT86 is a scalpel, the Supra is a sledgehammer.

Still amused that the sales staff at Toyota didn't know what my car was! I even took one of them out for a spin :D
