Chris Bailey
Does anyone actually use the Overdrive on the auto box? My dad seems to always use it on the motorway. Just wondering if anyone uses it and if it makes any different in performance . Cheers

Chris Bailey
I heard that it's better to run it off - I find it seems to pull better with it off. But maybe im just retarded .

Nemesis
Always on, spirited or not, makes no difference as it's just 4th gear. Maybe more economical:rolleyes: that way or maybe I'm fooling myself.
dr_jekyll
just like droping a cog to overtake

Nodalmighty
I can't see the point of it, or the switch under the accelerator pedal. I'm reassigning mine to do other tasks Lyndon.
AndrewOW
I can't see the point of it, or the switch under the accelerator pedal. I'm reassigning mine to do other tasks Lyndon. Missile launcher? It's in the best place! I always have the Overdrive button on while driving normally, but push it off when I want to use engine braking (as well as using the gear stick too) or to knock down a gear to overtake. It's worth using, as it's becomes part of my normal driving habits, just like if I was driving a manual. James Dalby will tell you. Nodalmighty
Missile launcher? It's in the best place! I was thinking more along the lines of TC lockup override and Over boost. Lyndon.
markssupra
I always use overdrive for normal driving
TubbyTwo
I use it quite alot, handy for motorway overtaking if you not in the mood to kick down and go screaming past the old dear who is holding you up.
