-Welsh-Stealth-
Would I be correct in thinking this is the correct sensor for the job http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-marlincrawlervss.php

The reverse switch can be wired in, no need to change it.
Swampy442
Crawler sensor would be my choice.
-Welsh-Stealth-
Cheers guys! Perfect! Will see how difficult it is to swap the speed sensors over, but ideally will go for a new one. Don't want to be stripping a box just to get at a single nut. At least the MOT isn't due for a couple of months! & with the reverse sensor it take it's just a live& an earth that will need soldering & heat wrapping on? Only reason I ask is haven't had a look at the box yet.
David P
When you find out the cost of a new sensor, you will be back on here hunting for one.
-Welsh-Stealth-
Nice& pricey hey? Yeah can't wait to see what the above costs over all. Ah well, in for a penny
Guest ugp
I paid 20 quid for my W58 sensor. You don't have to strip the box, just change the cog on the speed sensor for the one on the cable driven one that came out of the hole. As for wiring, you need to find a +12v feed, shove that to one side of the switch, and then find the wire that feeds the block connector under the dash as the "reverse switch", and join it to that. Essentially, > In Reverse = 12V to that wire. - - - Updated - - - Have you got the shifter extended yet?
welshbuddy
Reverse light does not have to work to pass MOT, its Notre of a pain that you can't see behind you
