listy
Wasn't sure whether to put this in tech or not. If I got some led sidelight strips, could I simply cut the plugs off the sstock side lights, and wire them that way? Or would I need some kind of resistor pack? listy
I havnt bought them yet. To be honest haven't really looked much. I'll see if I can find some I like the look of tonight.
vertex
If you're going for the new 'law' running lights please don't! I have yet to see a nice retro fit. Leave it to the new cars and manufacturers to install in the headlights/bumpers!
listy
Link Link to what I've found. Looking to replace the side lights, not use as daytime running lights. The ones I have are really yellow in colour, and when on kind of run the clean look of the front end imo. Looking to place them in the outside vents in the ts bumper. Either this, or just get led bulbs, but don't know the score with fitting them
vertex
I'd personally T them in along with the current sidelights. But you can take a direct feed from the current sidelight wires leaving the oem lights off.
vertex
You shouldn't need any resistors unless the supra has a light out indicator? Did you want to hook up the turn indicators too?
listy
So I wouldn't need a resistor pack or anything? Good to know. Not 100% I'm going to do this yet, but just something I thought of when looking at the front end earlier.
vertex
As long as you are not taking the feed away from the turn indicators, you should be ok. The quick flash indicator will only happen if you are replacing your turn indicators thus having the need of a resistor. (Afaik)
listy
No will only be used as sidelights. Thanks for the help
skippyboyo1
Each to there own n all that but every set I've seen look rubbish unless complimented with, a sun visor strip (must say "Motorsport") a cherry bomb exhaust and a stick on petrol filler chrome cap
listy
Has anyone attempted this on a supra? I've never seen it done yet. If anyone has, can you post a pic/link? If fitted properly and some thought to location, and not just stuck on willy nilly, I think it could look quite good, and be a nice updating front end mod.
