Technical Details - Swapping Differential and Propshaft

I will be fitting my large case TRD soon as well as swapping the prop and driveshaft. I've been reading through the workshop manual and am OK with the preload and backlash checks on the diff. I haven't done the "red lead" contact pattern check yet - that's still to come. Joy!

I also noticed that there are some angle checks to do on the prop and diff once fitted. The angles are measured and then adjusted using shims at the diff mounting points to get everything aligned perfectly. Do people actually do these checks on the prop and diff?

Thanks

Dan
