a98pmalcolm
Hay guys bit of a strange question but I'm thinking of installing a custom fuel level gauge. To set the fuel level gauge to read correctly you turn the switch to the correct ohm (Ω) value scale to match the rating of the vehicle’s fuel level sensor. Does anyone know if any of these values are correct to the supras fuel sender? http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/4588/80670006.jpg Thanks
chrispot
the only data i could find on the fuel sender was from the manual, so it looks like you should use switch position no. 6 F14 FUEL SENDER 1-2 : APPROX. 3 W AT FUEL FULL APPROX. 110 W AT FUEL EMPTY
Chris Wilson
You probably need a "mappable" dash as the sender output on most cars is none linear, and matches a none linear meter movement. Ryan will know for sure re the MKIV sender, but a lot of stuff has been written on getting an accurate full range digi dash readouts from stock fuel tank senders in general.
