Gaz Walker
Would anyone be interested in going? My travel agent arranges a great package over there, includes everything except the flights. Basically you get transfers to and from the airport TAS VIP pass (valid for all 3 days including the press only day, nice and quiet ) 4 nights accomodation in a very decent Tokyo hotel (Shinagawa Prince Hotel). A nice custom TAS jacket (keeps you warm in Japan!) Ground transportation for entire itinerary. Bilingual Tour Guide in Japan. The rooms are twin rooms. You can extend the duration of your accomodation for $150 per night (per room not per person). You can book direct with them, if you book by the end of october your looking at US $900 for the above, which is a little over £500. Flights wise again approx £500 or so for a flight from Heathrow to Tokyo - depending on airline. OK so its not cheap but its the experience of a lifetime. I am sure we can arrange a visit to Daikoku too. Best Regards, Gaz.

BTW, you can find some info here >> http://www.e-autosalon.net/tokyo/english/index_overview.html Great idea - will try to contribute one myself some day. Gaz Walker
Last time we went, although it was very hard work (we only spent 8 hours sleeping in like 4 days!) we had a brilliant time. We went to the best night club I've ever been to also. The girls are lovely and very friendly, Japanese girls love English guys BTW The show is spectacular and you can do as much or as little as you like. You can get to Osaka on the Bullet train in about 3 hours if you want to take in that aspect too. Mt. Fuji is only an hour away, and can be seen from Tokyo that time of year if the air is clear enough. Don't worry about the language barrier, most people in the service industry speak English, road signs are both languages, so is the subway and public transport etc. Crime is almost non existant. Getting very cheap electronics and car bits is a certainty. Best Regards, Gaz.

Clubbing in Rappongi is the best![/quote'] Excellent... Are you going to be there that time of year or you going out just for this? Ah Rappongi is for tourists (its still great though) Rob, yep can do. Please bear in mind that the £500 or $900 needs to be paid October for sure, you can book flights anytime though. Depending on numbers I can try and wangle something with the airlines, depends where people are flying from. For example non stop direct flights only operate from Heathrow, however you can do Newcastle to Amsterdam, AMS to Tokyo etc Gaz.
