dr_jekyll
if your getting a large build up of oil in the intake pies it would suggest turbo health may be suffering. pop thelowerpipes off and check how much oil is down there

Could supply 550 injectors and painted pipe work to go with it, in fact everything on the turbo side was rebuilt or replaced Edited July 8, 2012 by tooquicktostop (see edit history)

st3ven1
They are also an unknown entity! No history, mileage, pictures of the blades or comments on movement in the shafts. I'd be very careful if I was my money. You have just been offered a very good condition set by Dean.
mellonman
i wouldnt worry about it that much unless that lot happened over a sort period, all engines have a bit of blow bye and could just be pcv system
skippyboyo1
My Astra turbo had small amounts of oil blowing through the BOV and everytime this happened I knew I was getting ready for turbo seals
Nic
A light mist of oil from the BOV is normal, if your turbo oil seals are leaking then you'll see a puff of blue smoke from the exhaust on lift off after accelerating hard. Before going out and buying new turbos get someone to follow you and see if they can see any blue smoke.

Think I mentioned this to Paul at SupraPod, don't think I saw any blue smoke coming out of his car on either SupraPod or even Dragonball. Sorry I spotted it dude
scotty71
ive in the past had a small mist of oil under the bonnet above the BOV, Nic stated back then all will be ok if it is just a misting and no blue smoke so dont get the wallet out just yet - no misting of oil for me for months now!
