ABS and TRAC delete on an auto with syvecs

After searching on this particular subject I am not able to find any information on the questions I have. So during the next couple of weeks I plan to remove my ABS and TRAC and all the connected parts ie loom, relays, ecu etc. The questions I have are -

1) With a syvecs fitted will I still have ignition retard during gear change after removing the TRAC ecu, butterfly, loom, pump, everything! And if I do loose it, is this safe for the auto box, even if its a built one?

2) As the TRAC and ABS will be completely removed, can I remove the entire loom and relays for these to reduce clutter, and if it throws up a light can I not just remove the bulb?

Any help is much appreciated :)

The Syvecs only uses the ABS sensors for its traction control facilities. It T's into the loom at the ABS ECU. There is 1 wire for each sensor. You can remove the stock ABS and trac without any effect to the Syvecs at all.

Thanks for that. But does the syvecs retard the ignition for the auto transmission gear change or the TRAC ECU? So in other words if I remove the TRAC and all the components such as ECU, will this give a smooth gear change still as the syvecs controls this or will it be harsh on the box during gear change thus me having to go with a built transmission?

No, the Syvecs controls the spark itself, it has nothing to do with the trac or ABS ECU. Your free to put them in the bin.

So just to confirm removing the trac butterfly, ecu, relays, loom etc will have no effect on the life of the gearbox as the syvecs takes over and still provides a smooth gear change? Sorry if I sound kind of dumb but I just want to know for certain before I start ripping stuff out.

Can anyone please explain to me if I will loose ignition retard if I completely remove the TRAC ecu and all of its components? Or is it the syvecs that controls this? Also is the traction control on the syvecs different to the built in trac control?
