fastcar
Just wondering when second turbo should kick in. I thought it should be around 4k rpm mark but mine isnt coming on intill just under 5k. Im i right in thinking that i might have a sticky VSV?

JamieP
Surely it depends on what gear you are in? if anything like a single supra it will come on full boost a lot lower in the rpm range in 6th gear than it would in 1st.

Never really thought about it that way but i guess you're right, the greater the load on the engine, the quicker they turbos will spool

Chris Bailey
If you plant your foot in 2nd gear in a bpu auto it wont make 1.2 bar or full boost apparently. I think normally its around 4k But i can hear the second turbo spool in my dads car at around or just after 3k.
tkddav3
my second turbo never kicks in....i only have the one but yes as jamie said on mine it depending what gear im in depends where my boost kicks in
Hellstrom
3800 rpm is when the ecu enable both turbo, no more no less thats if the sequential system works. Should feel the power dip @ 3800rpm and @ 4k ish it should pull again
Lee_e
Has someone had the dash out recently or removed the needles from the speedo ? Could be coming in at around 4k but your speedo reads slightly higher nearer 5k.My speedo reads 500 revs more than what im doing.. so 3500 on the speedo is actually 3000 just a possibility
sideexitsupra
Mine still cuts out at 6900 on the rev counter as it should

supraGZaerotop
1st turbo is online straight off the bat, and at around the 3500k the vsvs start building boost ready and at around 3800k the vsvs open giving full boost at 4k, not 5k
