Making throttle cables, kick down cables

Recommended Posts

After extending my stock auto kickdown cable and fitting a longer throttle cable to reach my ffim.

I just wanted to ask if anybody has used one of these solderless nipples? And if they had any problems with them comming off with time?

It made life alot easer to extend and cut the cables to the perfect length using these end fittings.

And they do feel like they have a very strong hold on the cable.

I wrapped the cable twice around my hand and pulled as hard as I could on the solderless nipple with mole grips and it wouldnt budge ( did hurt my hand though) but for some reason I'm not sure if I trust them lol I think it's probs just me being paranoid. But I just wanted to know what people think of them and if anybody is using them (maby as a fix or with an extended cable like myself)?

You can see here I'm using the nipples on both cables :)

Thanks
