Ran them on a friends car for 3 years now with no issues and the insides of the filter/pipes are as clean as the day they started

I'll check my pipes at the weekend , only way to be sure I guess, looking where the air filter points I can imagine it to suck alot of crap in anyway. Also ran the same style filter on my skyline for 3 years with no issues.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had a couple other bits painted last week ready for japfest :D , done the radiator brackets and the plates which bolt down to the strut tops . thinking about doing the air filter intake next and have the HKS logo polished up.

Sourced some purple vacum pipes too so done a few of them, gonna do the rest when i get time.

T.F.F.T.

I thought you were going to ruin the whole car after the thread title. Lovely looking car and the closer it stays to stock, the better IMO.

Loose the rear badge please.

I think alot of people can see this going really bad.... really am gonna go steady with the paint soon as it can easily go GAY!! i think the purple really suits the car though and its good to be different, apart from the wheel nuts i dont think purple will ever be seen on the outside of the car.

The badge ....is something im not sure of myself, main reason i put it on was because my toyota badge was coming off anyway.

It's a beautiful car and it could easily be ruined.

I would go with a new Toyota badge for the back and some decent wheels and then leave it alone. Resisting touching them too much is the key, just like testicles.

I love the purple touches. Nicely done.

This is what I'm slowly doing with mine.

I've just got my new purple plasma dials delivered (custom made by Moman). Can't wait to get them fitted and see how they look.

Cheers mate it was a brave colour choice but its unique, i had it custom made up as i didnt see anything i liked lol

Will you let me know when you have fitted them mate, they sound very interesting to me.

Agreed!

Small touches are the key I reckon. Personally I'm doing the dials, brake calipers and purple edged mats. I'm considering changing the rest of the dash lighting to purple and possibly will replace the leather arm rests with black leather and purple stitching, but that would be it.

Purple is the best colour ever IMO! Will certainly post up picks when I get the dials fitted. Waiting for a bit of dry weather as I need to get my Thor converter in too

i think new wheels would do the car good, the wheels look good from a distance but nasty close up . i cant resist touching it mate its to tempting lol but ideally i want to start on the power mods soon and tidy a few bits and bobs up.

I was gonna do the brake callipers but there not very old and they are uk spec on mine so didnt see the point doing anything yet till they start showing there age.

im gonna do a few more bits purple but ill have to do them when im off the road for the winter , its a ideal time to crack on more lol.

Havnt updated for a while so thought id post a few pictures up for you all.

ive removed the front bumper and having the toyota badge removed and the bumper filled in , while its off im putting the active spoiler blade on , it will be fixed in position with bolts. didnt want the whole assembly as the other reason the bumper is off is ive bought a SRD 4"intercooler which will be fitted this weekend.

A little job for the headlights too as one is crystal clear and the other has a tint of yellow in it so gonna sort that out too.
