Titanium Internals

Would it be a benifit using titanium components? I've seen a few sets of head studs and bolts made from 625 and (i think 825), was wondering if there would be any general benifit from peoples opinions on this. I've some grade 2 aero titanium lying about, was wondering maybe make some new toys and fleebay them?

why not make every engine component from titanium,wouldnt have to worry about it braking even with 2000bhp lol

Service life will be considerably lower not to mention the costs involved.

Titanium is strong in some ways but not others. It's more the strength to weight ratio that makes it useful.

You thought about going for Beryllium?

Also, don't forget gold, that's a good heat reflecter. Make your wheels out of magnesium too, it'll help reduce the unsprung weight.

im bulding an anamanthium engine. can hold upto 4000,00000000,00000000000000 bhp and will never need a service. bit heavy though is the down side
