Nic
They're a high quality Japanese tuning company, no experience of their turbo kits. http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogue/000_arms/product_arms_1jz-e.html

welshbuddy
yeh i know, but ive been reading up on them, its sais it has everything attached to bolt on, so im guessing i use the standard manifold :S?
Kirk
Tomei made a few bits for the 1JZ and the VVT-i model. The kit utilises the standard manifold. They did make a manifold for the VVT-i, not sure if it fit the standard 1JZ but there long discontinued now.

Guigsy
wouldnt you need 2 turbos? :S
Swampy442
Thats a single turbo manifold... Plus later VVTI 1JZs were single turbo from the factory.
Kirk
Bollocks just had a closer look, that kit is meant for the VVt-i as a bolt on job NOT for the standard 1JZ. Thats a single turbo manifold... Plus later VVTI 1JZs were single turbo from the factory. But then again I never said that manifold was for the standard 1JZ did I

Nic
do you think i need 2 of those turbos? OR is just the one i need to buy? Bit confused it doesn't really state it . On the link I posted earlier I believe all the cars listed as compatible are fitted with the single turbo version of the 1JZ-GTE, the Tomei turbo is meant as a direct replacement for the stock turbo using the stock manifold. If yours is a twin turbo 1JZ-GTE then you'd need a stock single turbo exhaust manifold to fit it - although I know very little about the 1JZ so don't know what would be involved in doing this. Might be worth posting on http://www.mkiiisupra.net/ for more info. Alternatively you could buy a single turbo kit that includes the exhaust manifold like this one http://www.titanmotorsports.com/1jtuki.html
Swampy442
No that's for the single turbo VVTI as Nic said, and as Nic said you'll need a manifold as well.
Chris Wilson
A lot of my Skyline engine is Tomei. It's expensive but pretty good quality gear. Their camshafts are really nicely ground and symettrical, which is more than most are. Their orged hollow crown pistons are gorgeous, but I don't think they do them for the VVTi. As I have always said, just buy a turbo from the UK, saves a LOT of hassle when it goes wrong.
