What's this for on my intercooler pipe?

So I'm replacing a few of my intercooler pipes with new ones as they are a bit knackered. And also moving my bov.

The attached pic is of the pipe. It sits before the ic and after the turbo down near the front wheel.

Now. Besides the bov. There is another connection for a small pipe. That is after the bov. The pipe that connects to it disappears under the turbo side of the bay, under the engine mount, then appears again at the end of the downpipe where it meets a t pipe which I think then connects to the boost controller in one direction and then god knows where in the other direction. It seems a very odd location to route the pipe to me as it could have just come directly upwards to where the bc is in the bay.

Besides. Here is my main question and probably easy to answer.

Once I move the bov and replace the ic pipe can I plumb the small pipe back into the same place. As it will then be before the bov rather than after it.

Will it screw up the boost controller reading somehow?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340490566.934529.jpg

Could it be for a temp guage for the air? I noticed a thread of Noz's a while back asking about an intake air temp kit. That had a read out screen though, so I would have thought you would know about that if it had it.

All I know is my IC piping doesnt have it, so must be something extra.

I'm not sure what else is attached to the t piece. It's right by the downpipe under the car and I can't see it very clearly. One side does seem to end up at the boost controller unit in the bay. The other side iv got no idea. I'll just drill a hole in my new pipe then I don't need to worry :)
