monkey76364
Making Cd's on the PC realy is simple once you have done it once... i would say go down that route !!!
MaveriK
PC is the only way to go as long as you have a cd burner. Archive the tracks from your cd to your pc using media player and then create a music cd through Nero where you can pick and chose which tracks and in what order. I would say download mp3's from P2P sites but obviously thats illegal and hence i would never advise such a thing Its such an easy process but if you get stuck run Nero wizard and it more or less does it for you. Enjoy

MaveriK
I would ask someone you know if you could "demo" it on your machine before you go out and purchase it !!! If you dont know anyone then PM me your address and i will let you have said "DEMO" copy.
colsoop
I use a free piece of software called cdex, it allows you to extract single tracks off a cd and convert them to mp3, its basic and easy to use, then as said above use nero to burn your favourite tracks to a cd. you can get cdex here
SupraStar 3000
Like MaveriK says, try Nero. I also recommend you try iTunes mate Download iTunes. Download all your CDs onto your PC Make a playlist of your fav songs (upto 200 should fit onto a CD as MP3) Pop-in a black CD and BURN the playlist. Your new headunit plays MP3s mate. Since discovering the benefits of MP3 files I havn't played any CDs Even installed an iPod last weekend

IanK
thanks guys , ill try the nero and see how i get on . ed is there any sound quality loss with mp3 yes, you have different quality settings, 128kbps, 192kbps,256kbps, 320kbps. the higher the number the better the quality but this also means bigger file size (still much smaller than the original though). Personally i wouldnt go below 192, i generally use 320 but give it a go. I would go the iTunes route if i were you. http://www.apple.com/itunes/ download it free from apple. you can change the quality settings in the iTunes Preferences under Import. If you need any help once you have downloaded iTunes, PM me.

IanK
Cool. Didn’t know you could change the quality settings. Is that importing from CD to harddrive or exporting to iPod/burning CDs? Its what quality it imports it to your HardDrive from the CD. The higher the better but as i said before, the bigger the file size. An average 4 minute track uncompressed would be about 40Mb, where as an MP3 at 320kbps is only 10mb but at 192kpbs would be between 5-6Mb.
