Stevo
Anyone give me any pointers on how to separate the 2 parts of the exterior door handle from one another - i.e. the actual handle away from the base/surround?? Can it be done? Cheers

mwilkinson
No, not without damaging it. They are riveted together, or at least the surround is spot melted to the main handle. Don't quite recall which to be exact. I removed mine for my respray. I just glued them back on after.
