alex2jz
Hi chaps, What do you think. Would a MVP lip suit my car's style ? I planning on leaving it BLACK, and cut the ears. But depending on how it looks with them on, i could leave the ears in place. Cheers Alex
safcdixon
Black no, painted yes! Don't leave it black it will look like its been thrown on there will look much better colour coded imo
Noz
It might look ok black, try it.
st3ven1
Not. Keep your car OEM, if you want to add a front lip, go for an active spoiler. Nice car, everything is ready for the GTE engine now.
alex2jz
Thanks for the replies guys. I am a little more confused now though lol Thanks Steven. The active spoiler is the ideal Supra lip for me. However, they are quite rare and most, if not all of the sellers prefer pick up and I not being from the UK... well it's a little difficult Painting the lip makes it look bad IMO, especially on red Supras. Was thinking that black it would go well with the wheels. Man... wish i had an active spoiler.
dan294
I reckon black, ears off. At the end if the day dude, it's your car. Do what you think looks right
Stevo
Not sure about the colour mate - black might look good with the wheels, like you say. Would definitely do a Van Gogh on the ears though!

Do what you think looks right I can't really imagine how it would look until i buy it and fit it yes I was looking to make the car look a bit more aggressive, while keeping the stock body. I have a low budget at the moment so the options would be a front lip and some coilovers or some new wheels. Not sure about the colour mate - black might look good with the wheels, like you say. listy
Carbon wrap it mate. that way, theres no unpainted "tackiness" and saves it being painted

Westy
Ears off and left unpainted IMO Here is a pic of ears off and painted: This is with the HKS Kansai lip in black (carbon), but gives you an idea of how the red and black combo will look:
zorglub
Easy choice for me: painted lip if you plan to install side skirts and stay black if not

To the OP I am sure someone was selling an active spoiler on here a little while ago, It might of been Aj as he is doing the mvp group buy lip. I have stock suspension, i might stand a chance The shipping to the uk is $550 on top of the buying price, Whifbitzs sell the same thing for £475. Yeah, i know they are a fortune... I was thinking more about a used one from Europe ( if i can find one). Whifbitz doesn't have that carbon lip style anymore, i've talked to Paul I saw that Rob's active spoiler is for sale, but he prefers pick up and i can't do that.. I thought this was the same one?? http://whifbitzperformancetuning.co.uk/toyota-supra-body-kits-styling-seibon-p-13015.html Sorry, i was referring to the Type 1 spoiler here, which is unavailable. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?212386-Carbon-fibre-front-spoiler 475 pounds + shipping for the real Seibon one is still too much for me. That's why i was thinking more about a used one. Well, i'll give it a thought and decide if a new lip is really worth spending 300+ pounds for. Oh right I see, A friend of mine wanted that type 1 lip too but like you said Paul only stocks the seibons which he said were a exact replica, They are a tad steep so might be worth asking for a group buy maybe.
