Hub dyno and rolling road dyno differences, The truth.

It's all hot air anyway, any serious engine builder would only ever consider an engine dyno for development, power and torque data, and mapping work, anything else is such a compromise as to be for hobbyists or weekend entertainment purposes ;) RR's are OK for diagnostic work and a few quick power runs, but they are terrible for development work and true engine torque figures, IMHO. Hub type ones are infinitely better than rollers for big BHP cars though. All RR's give the transmission a hard time as it's hard to keep transmissions cool in all but brief runs through the RPM range.

yes you are right Jamie, mine was at dans 736 bhp @ 1.7 bar, and at srr 1.7 bar it was 744 bhp. and then it went on to 849.9 bhp with a bit of nos but that was only a small amount, as the dyno would not hold the car and tyres spinning , I will find out what the true bhp on my terminals on the strip.

thats correct same map same set up around 100bhp difference for 4wd..

its making now 960 @hubs and 870 tq around - 1060 and 970 tq at surrey = using the formula from our test
