supra_ufo
Small update: Fitted some new front tyres: Had a yearly alignment checkup (no pics sadly, all was ok just needed tweaking slightly (potholes I bet) I refurbished my brakes: A random photo from today's clean: I've ordered a new front lip, an MVP jobby without the ears which should be here Tuesday, still undecided whether to paint it red or not... Opinions? Thanks for looking How long does this process take as I want to do this, can it be done in one day?
spikedjack
What's that, the brakes? I did mine in about 6 hours, left them To dry for a good 4 hours before putting the decals on and allowing to harden overnight before driving the next day

spikedjack
Thanks bud New lip turned up today so decided to fit it after work: Old lip off: New lip fitted: No ears: I much prefer it this way if I'm honest, don't think ill be painting it as I really hate them looking stone chipped to death Thanks for looking
Philly_1 Lex
Looks great on a healthy red paint job. Only way I like the front lip is if you have side skirts as I think it looks silly with a lip and no side skirts on a side profile view. Leave it like that.... Mugello
Look lush jack !! Dont paint it imo
spikedjack
Thanks both, I think that it'll stay black for the time being
jazz1
Much better without side ears .
benkei
Looking sexy, as I already told you My preference would be to paint it to match the skirts and spats, but if you're concerned about stone chips I can understand why you'd leave it to contrast. Could you not have extra lacquer to protect it? And a few coats of wax to shield it further?
Timlowthian
Did you buy the new one with no ears? If so can I ask where from?

Like stonechip guard they use on high end cars? Might be a plan in the coming months for sure.

TBDevelopments
I'm really tempted to go for that look with mine but I'm really worried about it keep catching being so low. How are you finding that lip? Tim
spikedjack
Hi tim, They bend and flex so much you could hit a curb and they will look non the worse off... They sit pretty low but it's only really steep inclines/declines like multistoreys or speed humps mine catches on and my car is quite low Hope this helps
TBDevelopments
mm interesting. I wander how the paint handles with the flexing of speed bumps

I wander how the paint handles with the flexing of speed bumps Take it to a good paint shop and get them to put flexi-agent in the mix and it will help no end! I've not bothered painting due to worrying about this and also stonechips.... Every painted one I've seen is littered with them
TBDevelopments
oh yeah i know flexi-agent will help not if your hitting speed bumps all the time in them. Personally those things should be banned lol
spikedjack
Just bought an SRD FMIC Kit for the supra, should be here this week ready for weekend fitting
spikedjack
Fitted my SRD fmic kit this weekend: All is good except the coolant overflow tank lid doesn't quite fit as well as I'd hoped, I'm looking into a solution for this at the minute, otherwise, decent fitting and good quality, can't moan for what I paid! Loving the look now, how a turbo supra should be IMO! Thanks for looking Jack
