Guest Stevo82 Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) Is there any way to find out whether you have the CT12 or CT20 turbos without disassembly? My Supra was originally a non turbo but had an engine transplant. The car and engine was imported to Africa but I don't know from where. My car sometimes smokes badly for a few seconds after I have driven a short while, stopped for a few minutes and then drive again. I had these symptoms on my Starlet GT when the turbo started leaking oil. So now I'm looking for replacement turbos. I've seen a picture of the CT20A with the CT20A marking on it but my turbo does not have CT20A written on it at that position. Do I assume they are CT12's then? Or will both fit?
