Supe
Good morning everyone, Going to take the gearbox out over the weekend for a clutch replacement, just wandering what else I should replace whilst it's in bits. (I've only got the pressure plate, clutch assembly and throwout bearing iirc). Any other important parts, which should be replaced at the same time? Finally got some time to work on the Supra and get it back on the road, the clutch went last year, so decided I would replace it myself but never got round to it due to work commitments and the weather being crap. Had access to other cars, so the Supra has just sat there looking sorry for itself Watching some of the recent Dragonball videos and Santapod drag videos, has really upset me Want to get back in mine asap
pedrosixfour
The centre bearing in the flywheel that locates the input shaft is always worth checking while the box is out. Its worth taking the flywheel off and checking the rear crank seal too.
Supe
Thank you pedrosixfour, I will check the rear crank seal too. Is it hard to replace this, any special tools needed to replace the crank seal? Also, do I need to by new bolts, or can they be re-used p.s. just noticed the title doesn't make sense
zorglub
It's really easy to replace this seal and it doesn't cost lot of money, so oder it and replace it anyway when you change the flywheel. About the bolts i always change them when i took off flywheel

chazuk
Does sound a bit high mate also if your clutch fork almost falls out like mine did you need a new sprung steel clip costs 4quid have you tried Paul at whifbliz for the parts ?
pedrosixfour
Sounds a bit high to me. A bit?? What is this flywheel bearing for £72 you listed? The only bearing I can think of in that area is the pilot bearing. Is it something to do with a pull type clutch? I have no experience of this arrangement.
