hazza
Budget? HP goals? Hey matey I have money to play with, 2000 max really(but have more just don't want it costing a bomb! Goals...I just fancy more hp nothing major just a nice increase with good gains nothing monsterous unlike some on here haha What ever gives me best results for reasonable money spent lol (hope this helps)
Kaan W
Hi bud, I would say stay with the twins and maybe upgrade to BPU good for 450bhp and be happy. You can easily spend £10,000+ getting to 600bhp and even then it may not be reliable.
listy
A decent NA-T conversion will cost a little more than that if you go for best parts possible (recommended) I think the going rate for a good NA-T is around £3k-£4k mate. There are plenty of threads reference NA-T conversions on here mate. Do a search and they will come up AFAIK there is only one thread reference supercharging a Supra, its called "project supracharger".
TubbyTwo
if you go the single route £2k won't even buy a decent ecu.
hazza
But my supra is a na auto . Where did the twins come from lol?

BPU will get you around 380-400bhp without an aftermarket ecu, which is more money again. With a NA-T, with the right bits, you can get around the same power as BPU. I think Noz hit around 380bhp on his first dyno NA-T, and that was with a few hiccups.
Swampy442
Sell it, add your 2k to the budget, buy a TT
Kaan W
Sorry miss read, its best to ask someone whos done a NA-T but personaly I think it will cost a little more than £2000 but thats just my opinion mate.
hazza
Yh o read that thread the supercharged build looks awesome, I have funds there I just didn't realise how much it could cost worst ways, I've been looking into kits for turbo conversion but can't find kits as such for it tho As I'm only 20 nearly 21 got full no claims since 17 I just wanted to increase the potential of this supra Cheers
hazza
I'm not after massive bhp like some monsters on here, But would love to have either a supercharged or turbo supra without the massive insurance (if you know what I mean)
listy
IIRC whifbitz do a NA-T kit. I know one of the traders on here do.

Wez
There are no SC kits off the shelf and all attempts have yet to be run as a daily driver, with only £2k to play with I wouldn't look at turbos either, save some more and get a TT or spend the money on a nice exhaust, manifold, decent disks and pads and give it a full service
Swampy442
But would love to have either a supercharged or turbo supra without the massive insurance (if you know what I mean) Aaah insurance fraud is the order of the day? You would end up paying more when you declare the mods to the inurers

You can pick up a nice TT auto for around £4k-£5.5k mate

Swampy442
Its less if you get a UK car, but being the youth you are any insurance is going to be pricey.
Justin Bieber
without the massive insurance (if you know what I mean) be careful with what you say on a public forum matey.....

Lol Once you add turbos or SC to your NA the insurance will prob be higher than a stock TT

hazza
Once you add turbos or SC to your NA the insurance will prob be higher than a stock TT So it's cheaper to insure a stock tt (manual/auto) than a single turbo (manual/auto)
