Parry_10
Just wondering how you are running your idle control valve? as you can bolt it up underneath but then you cant keep the check valve... so whats the best thing to do? im thinking of deleting mine all together and running a higher idle off the throttle butterfly stop
FOSTA
I'm using a mkiii TT icv as the stock plug fits stright in, then drilling and tapping a fitting before the butterfly and running a hose from that stright to the mkiii icv.

Rob_Mitchell
The greddy manifold has a place for it, it runs off the back of the manifold. Lee has tucked mine out the way.
JamieP
Mine is under the intake, Lee welded a plate on, you can run without one, i never had one on my red supra and it was never an issue.

JamieP
As far as i was aware mine is fitted as it would on a stock intake, just in a different place.

Parry_10
Robs has an adapter plate that retains the check valve Thought so, so next question where can I get my hands on one of these adaptor plates? or will it make my life easier just doing away with the icv
TheTurtleshead
The Greddy manifold comes with pipework and said adapter plate. If you need just the adapter, i'm pretty sure we can supply them, PM Lee. As far as keeping it goes, it just makes life easier. Better starting and a more stable, lower idle is possible.
hodge
Mine is also in place, if you leave it out you'll hate it trust me. Jevansio removed his for a while and the Idle was horrendous. Your cold start will be effected too. Don't do it.

hodge
What check valve are we talking about here, got a picture?
TheTurtleshead
The stock one way valve in the standard TT intake manifold Hodgimus. It only allows air in, stops boost leaks from the ICV. Its a small reed/flap type valve that pushes into the manifold before the ICV is bolted on.
Parry_10
What check valve are we talking about here, got a picture? yeh mate its in the link I posted if you look you can see on a stock intake the check valve and rubber gromit has a place to sit but in an aftermarket manifold its just a hole meaning no where for it to sit so I guess you need some sort of adaptor plate for every aftermarket intake if your going to run the icv

Suprafans car doesn't or didn't have 1 fitted iirc and the idle was fine.
