Todd
AvP Aliens is fantastic, remember when it came out, same week as Top Gun, dread to think how many times I went to the pictures that week. Funny thing is, Aliens is still good, Top Gun really shows it's age now
Kopite
Top Gun us still the greatest film ever! closely followed by Aliens
Branners
Aliens rules - the Directors cut is superb I felt the DC didnt add anything to the story and made it too long, the original is action all the way. JB

Burna
Classic film, enjoyed watching it again. One of the very few films that the sequel is better than the original
Branners
Auto sentries dammit man! Auto sentries! I will see your sentries and raise you an 'indepth discussion about Ripley losing a child' Still top of my list of films though. JB

slick
Yeah great film, I liked the original though too so couldn't choose between them. I will see your sentries and raise you an 'indepth discussion about Ripley losing a child' Well played lol, the soppy little girly bits dragged a little for me... I just wanted Ripley to leave her behind once and for all, is that so cruel?
far
ok heres a question - can anyone tell me what was the trigger for AVP?
Todd
Pred 2 with Danny Glover when he's in the spaceship at the end and you see an Alien Queen skull in the trophy room. The AvP graphic novels are so much better than the film. http://home.arcor.de/rakanishu/Predator%202%20-%20Alien%20Skull.jpg

BigRoy
There is some great AVP books out there, which is where the idea came from and then as said skull appeared in Pred2. Cant remember the author but think ive read most of them. Sadly much much better than AVP the film, love the book where their is a street amphetamine derived from the aliens blood. RedM
Auto sentry guns. They'd be ideal for stopping anyone nicking or damaging your car.
Aerotop Dave
I will see your sentries and raise you an 'indepth discussion about Ripley losing a child' Still top of my list of films though. JB I will see your indepth discussion and raise you 'Newt's family go to the ship and her dad gets a face hugger and this explains how the terraforming plant becomes overun with aliens'. (been a while since I've seen the film so it might be her mum and I can't remember if it's a terraforming or atmosphere-creating plant) The Abyss Director's Cut - now there's a version that really does radically alter the original, not only in length but in the whole meaning of the film. I agree that the Ripley losing child bit in Aliens is a bit pointless, but the sentry guns and Newt's family bits add to the story and make it better IMO. However, The Abyss is a whole different argument. Better or worse... hmmmm.
bens747
I've played the AVP game and that is quite scary in places to play. That was a while ago and don't know if there going to bring out a new game after the latest movie, since now I am running XP, but would love to play it again.
