Attila was in there last month too!

Do they just pick a thread at random each month from a different forum?

I am surprised our "the universe" thread didn't get in there... yet.

Gaz.

Shouldn't they get permission from all those involved before publishing it?

I'd be pretty miffed if they put anything I said in the mag without me being asked first.

Interesting point, however I guess you could say that given the fact that you've publically made those comments anyway (ie, not on members only section), then what difference does the medium truly make? I guess if it was taken out of context then that's bad.

It's already out there in the public domain though innit? Maybe we should solely post in the Member's Only section if you don't want to be quoted :p

I only ask because I was under the impression that any content on here was "Copyright ©2004 - 2005, The mkiv Supra Owners Club" - I'm just curious if this is just an easy way for the mag to gather filler material for each issue and if so is anyone asked. I'd view it in the same way as I would someone listening in on a conversation between mates in a pub and then writing it word for word in a newspaper for all to see.

I've nothing to hide, just curious.

Can someone actually explain whats going on?!?!

In order to bulk out the magazine the slack writers at J-Tuner cut and paste a thread from a forum each month and pass it off as journalism, in this instance they seem to have done it with the 200SX club and Haydn is on there?

I'm wittering on (as usual) and wondering if they ask permission before doing this.

Surely that would be a question for the 200 club then?

I think we're talking ethics and what if it happened on here?

On another note - how can something I write on here be copyright of the club? Think you'll find the copyright notice at the bottom is purely for the board, code changes, ideas and image/logos.

Controversial ;)

I think its great that the writers are at least taking an interest in whats said on forums.

Basically I think that if you say something on here that you would rather not be published/quoted, then maybe its an idea not to say it?! :)

Gaz.
