TomWeight
Ive been looking to insure a supra SZ for my next car. When i went through the admiral website it came out just over 5000, but when i put the details into moneysupermarket, it comes out just under 4000. This is only in comparison as im 21 soon so i wont be insuring until then anyway which comes out about 2000. I know the main thing that affects the insurance is being an import but its listed as a jap import on moneysupermarket as well so i dont get the difference :/ anyone with any ideas? LOGIE
go to a speciast import insurance company such as Sky or Livingstones and warman insurance brokers. http://lwib.co.uk/schemes/ these guys always quote me happy

Tyson
None of the above suggestions are any good as he isn't even 21 and I doub't he has driven a RWD car before so no specialist insurer will touch him. All the specialist insurers require you to be 25 bar Sky who are 23.
jazz1
Sky would not touch anyone without 2 years no claims, try Adrian flux they insured me at 21 with points modified etc limited mileage 2k.
TomWeight
Yeah as mentioned ive already had a look at sky but they said i need the rear wheel drive experience first. Age isnt too much of an issue with them it seems but they still want the experience. I havent tried competition yet but i would guess its the same sort of story

Sucks. But elephant quoted my renewal at about £850. Way to keep me as a customer! I'll be looking at lynbrook and competition car insurance. fri3ndly
I always get the best quote direct through Admiral. I get quotes of around £1500...until I add my mummy on to the policy as a named driver which drops the price to more like £800 fully comp :-) When I was 21 I was getting insurance on my TT for £1500 approx (again with 1-2 female named drivers with no points/claims and 5+ driving years experience)
Dan_Turism0
i insured my SZ-R with Admiral for £500 26 years old with 4 years NCB all mods declared that was using confused.com aswell
Jord
If you can, get a multicar policy with Admiral and add your parents, it'll bring the premium down by a hell of a lot. Admiral will also take into consideration any years as a named driver you've driven without claming and award them as if they were no claims. I've just got my insurance renewal on a celica for just over £500 and I'm 23.
