hodge
I wish I'd left the bloody car alone now, but NO, not me, I got used to it and wanted more power and now it's becoming a pain in the backside. Even more than this bloody Bee that's buzzing around my conservatory as I'm typing this FFS. Right I've opened the door, let's hope the bee sods off. Ok back on topic, sorry guys. My previous fuel setup was as follows:- Single Bosch 044 pump -8 feed line Split to 2 x -6 lines to rail -6 return -6 from rail to regulator My new setup:- 2 x Bosch 044 pumps 2 x -8s from pumps with check valves Into -10 feed line 2 x -8 to rail -6 return -6 from rail to regulator Problem being, the car just bogs and goes off the scale lean at 0.3 to 0.4 bar max. Since I've had the new system installed its ran fine on boost. I drove it to Lincoln with a few boost pulls on the way and had no issues. This issue occurred on my journey home. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of fuel leaks anywhere, but is it possible that something has came loose enough to let air in but no fuel out. All my fittings are AN fittings and I seem to still have plenty of fuel pressure. I raised my static pressure to 3.5 bar which is about 3 bar whilst the car is running incase it had dropped due to larger lines but it makes no difference, it's still doing it. The Syvecs has no error codes at all. So all I can think is that there must be a leak somewhere in the lines and it's sucking in air. Anyone had any experience with anything like this. Any advice would be great, I'm at the end of my tether now (with the car not the bee, it's gone lol). I'm on the verge of pulling the whole fuel system back out and doing it again. Tricky-Ricky
A problem with the check valves at certain flow rates? have the pressure changed?
hodge
It shouldn't matter bud, I've got both pumps running in tandem. Can a check valves flow be adjusted?
Wez
Have you tried removing power to one pump and testing each one separately?
hodge
I've removed the secondary pump but not the main 1. I'll try that tomorrow Wez, thanks bud.
SupraDan24
The spring in the check valves isn't too strong is it meaning the fuel is struggling to overcome it?
hodge
I Wouldn't have thought so Will, these 044 pumps flow a lot of fuel.
