LOGIE
Ok ive just finished fitting my active spoiler this morning and im having two problems... 1. When the ignition is ON but engine is not running everything works properly ie If I press DOWN the spoiler deploys. if i press auto/off it retracts but when the engine is running (car not moving) nothing works incluging the light on the switch. In short: engine on... nothing works. Engine off with ignition on everthing is good. 2. I now have red warning light on the centre of my dash. So far ive tried.... checking the 30amp fuse in the kick panel in the drivers footwell and its ok. Ive also disconnected the battery for 10 mins to reset the ecu but no diference. Please give any info or experience you may have on this. Also i cant drive the car as yet as i havent put all the remaining bolts along the bottom of the undertray (incase i have to remove it to sort this problem) Thanks
Jimmy James
It won't stay down with the engine running mate, will only come down at 60mph and go back up at 40mph unless you have a manual override. Think it only goes down with ignition on to clean it and for pics lol.

LOGIE
ah so it sounds like its working fine then, apart from the triangular warning light in the centre of the dash.??
straightsix
Any other warning lights or just the main one?
LOGIE
Any other warning lights or just the main one? Just the main one mate. Ive done a search and this light only usually comes on when removing an active spoiler not fitting one
straightsix
Have you actually taken it for a drive yet?
LOGIE
Have you actually taken it for a drive yet? not yet as i haven't put the undertray bolts back in, (in case i have to remove it to solve this problem) its parked on top of 4 wooden railway sleepers with ramps at front. Primative but effective for working under it:D
Iky
Just double check that your boot is closed properly! I pulled my hair out for a full day trying to find out whats up with it only to find the boot was not closed.
straightsix
Did your car already have a loom? You plugged everything (ecu & switch) in properly? Spoiler fuse is present and OK in the driver's side?
Sted
Have you taken the Hand brake off???
Supra-duper
As above, check the simple things first. I spent a good fifteen minutes earlier today wondering why my car wouldn't start after completely forgetting it had an immobiliser and failing to press the fob! dumb dumb moment

Yeah the car already had a loom, Ive double checked ecu & switch and yeah the 30amp fuse was already in the kick panel fuse box but i removed it just to check and its fine. supraGZaerotop
only light you'd see is the little green light on the auto button for the spoiler while above 60mph, spoilers says deployed until about 45mph ish, goes bk up then. if you hit the switch to off, the spoiler says off

straightsix
I had similar issue when I fitted mine. I disconnected the battery for a while to do something else and when I reconnected it there were no issues. May be a red herring but could be worth a try

LOGIE
This warning light is still annoying me, has anyone else had this problem? any other ideas other than the above suggestions?
Robzki
check error codes? Also my warning triangle comes on if the 'dome' fuse blows, which seems to be a yearly occurence for some reason. Check 'all' fuses for continuity as even though they look fine they may have blown.
