safcdixon
Surely he would know if he's hit fuel cut, apparently it's like hitting a wall, maybe you have a small boost leak?
trinitom
What size rr did you fit?
ashbuster
fuel cut on my scooby was nasty, it really did feel like hitting a wall is yours jap or uk? just wondering isnt 11psi still stock? 0.7bar i think 11 psi is or just over Edited June 2, 2012 by ashbuster (see edit history)
Mario
^^yes 11 psi is about ,75 bar. Thought that boostcut occurs around @ 15-16 psi of boost.
viper
Yeah 11psi is stock, theres no fuel cut as not reaching 1bar boost. The RR looked like 2inch to 2.5 inch? Would nothqving the FCD fitted cause this?
viper
Mine is japspec

ashbuster
if it is follow this bud http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/fcd/fcd.htm black goes to E on the diagram which is pin 69 = ecm ground red goes to b on the diagram which is pin 31 = efi main relay then cut the TURBO PRESSURE SIGNAL wire which is P on the diagram and its pin 62 wire the yellow to the wire closest to the ecu and wire the white to the other part of the wire you cut coming from the loom thats if its hks and if you have the same ecu as me ohh i forgot splice into the wires for the black and red but with the turbo pressure wire actually cut through it and wire one end to one colour and the other end to the other, as above Edited June 2, 2012 by ashbuster (see edit history)

Mario
Which type of cat back exhaust are you running and what is the diameter of both decats, ie:2.5'' or 3'' decats?
ashbuster
anytime any probs just post up. as for the 11psi thats baffled me because i thought all jap specs overboosted when fully decatted thats the point in having the rr to lower the boost to a safe level, have you looked at your ecu yet to see if its a stock ecu? shaky
Open up your restrictor ring by 1mm then test it again or get a BOOST CONTROLLER, fit your fcd 1st.
viper
Fcd is fitted. Decat at front looked thin at about 2.5 inch rear is 3inch What setting does the fcd need to be on?

tony tt
Have you tried to raise boost levels with a bc yet or have you just decatted with rr? some cars wont boost any higher than stock without fitting a boost controller to raise levels. have you tried an ecu reset then take the car a spirited run. viper
FCD fitted still stuck on 11psi, im gunna remove the restrictor ring and see if it makes a diffrence. Ecu is stock got the full tt conversion from kerion.
tony tt
FCD fitted still stuck on 11psi, im gunna remove the restrictor ring and see if it makes a diffrence. Ecu is stock got the full tt conversion from kerion. The ecu will still need to relearn that the cats have been removed to be honest i wouldnt remove the restrictor ring. I would fit a boost controller and raise it accordingly till 1.2bar is reached. If it over boosts without the rr it can lead to failure. My ecu is also stock and its full bpu with no issues. viper
Restrictor ring removed same problem WTF
Littler
Based on all the above I'd try to see if the boost controller successfully raises the boost to 1.2bar, if it does I'd say it was the size of your restrictor ring that is causing it to remain at stock level.
