mellonman
turbo kit and ecu is the easiest and cheapest for real gains but still look to be a few grand but can be done very cheap http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?267886-ultimate-budget-build-project-black-dog
Tyson
Would be easier and cheaper to buy a TT though.
The Raven
See sig. Little point in power chasing with an N/A decats, air filter, thats about it unless you plan spending big.

Nic
It's a question that seems to get asked on a weekly basis, the most cost effective/sensible option would be to sell the NA and buy a TT or do a 2JZ-GTE engine swap. A proper NA-T conversion would be the most expensive option. Some threads on the subject. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?270126-how-can-i-get-the-most-from-my-3-0-n-a&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?247965-the-most-power-out-of-a-n-a-supra-mk4&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?258842-N-A-upgrades&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?251002-non-turbo-supra-mods&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?233704-Need-help-tuning-n-a&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?219593-na-t-advice-please&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?213435-What-mods-to-make-first&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?123631-N-A-tuning-options&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?104463-N-A-Tunning-MORE-POWER!!&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?98085-Power-increase-on-NA&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?92867-is-it-possible-to-tune-an-N-a-or-is-it-just-plugs-and-Filters&highlight=manifold http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?65986-best-mods-for-an-n-a&highlight=manifold Edited June 1, 2012 by Nic (see edit history)

Gpro
Would love for so info on what parts to get to tune a na supra maybe some sites to get them from wojld like a bit more power What previous cars have you owned? You can't get noticable power out of an NA without a turbo. Forget airfilters, exhaust etc get a 2JZGTE engine and put it in. Job done! Supra-duper
Have to agree with the above, a NA-T build sounds like it could suit you, especially if you like to do the work yourself. Apparently, and it certainly seems, it can be done on a relatively strict budget as well
Chris Bailey
Im affraid im with everyone else - There's a few options. Either drop a tt lump in your n/a Buy a na-t turbo kit Or sell your n/a and buy a tt. But can i ask if youve had 450bhp skyline's why have you bought a n/a supra and now wanting more power? Surely that R32 with that amount of bhp cost alot of money to do.

listy
Plus, the old 32 is a bit boxxy for my liking. The supe is much sexier to look at with all her curves in the right places
Guest dan supra86
I sold it a while ago due to had a baby and had to go but i do like the supra more always wanted one but the tt is a bit out my price range i think ill just stick with na for now get some cash and go from there as not in no rush with power just love the look of it

Surely it's not as impractical as the supra?
listy
I know the R33's are more practical, more room in the back, and the seats are flatter. However, not as much boot space. My supre is my daily, and we get along just fine (plus all my daughter says while in the car is "GO GO GO! FASTER FASTER!")
ellis
when I bought my NA many moons ago I quickly realised that I would want more power very quickly and it became very apparent very early on that if I'd done my homework I'd have saved myself the hassle and just bought a TT in the first place so that's what I did it seemed to be the cheapest and easiest way in the short and long term so I bought a UK spec TT and all was good then I sold it to some bloke from France who seemed happy enough and then I bought another TT which is the one I have now and its superb personally I don't see the point in whacking on a turbo to an NA as the cost is too high plus you have to sort so many other bits out but people seem to say that they can't afford a TT but can afford to blow thousands on an NA to NA-T conversion but that just makes no sense to me at all but the thing I really liked about the TT was that when you opened the boot it was full. of. full. stops. and p,u,n,c,t,u,a,t,i,o,n marks!! I'm still tired and no less ratty today. I'm off out to buy ammo later. And then I'm going to read the blog about Lee Child being happy that Tom 'Can You Lift Me Up' Cruise is going to play Jack Reacher!! Seriously Lee, you're happy that a 4 foot closet-dwelling Scientologist is going to play a 6 foot 6 inch, 250 pound man, a 'large man who casts a small shadow' as you put it. Really Lee, really? Or did you sell out Lee? I want answers Child and by god you're going to give them to me! That should just about do it. I think I'll start my spree in Barclays. 5 days to clear a cheque? Oh do feck orf!! 5 days? Wars have started and ended in less than 5 days! I've been married and split up in less than 5 days! Stop using my money on Bingo sites and just put it in my account! I earned it, it's mine! So in summary, drive NA off cliff. Buy TT. Use full stops and capitals. Respect your elders. Call your mother at least twice a week and thank her for all she's done. Give to charity. Don't dye your hair. Sing whenever you can. Eat what you want in moderation. Just try, try, to be nice to each other. Oh, and have a nice day. Brilliant Shame you can only subscribe to threads and not individual users lol You're priceless right now Ellis Didnt realise the Jack Reacher novels were being put to the big screen. You are right though, Tom Cruise is NOT the right actor to play Jack Reacher. It should be someone who actually fits the description in the novels. Love these books, got every one in the series
