hodge
Hi guys I've done a little video of both my bosch pumps running and every now and again the seem to change tone as if they lose power or something. Is this a normal for the noise of the pumps to change slightly. I think you can hear the tone change about 20 second or so into the vid, but watch it all and let me know what you think please. JamieP
Never noticed mine change in tone, will try and listen out for it next time im in the car. Have you just put it back together? maybe a bit of air in the lines pushing through?

It had been running about 10 mins before I took the vid so I'd have thought all the air would be out the tank breather by now. Do you know off hand what static fuel pressure your running Jamie? does it happen more if your low on fuel ? There's a half a tank in there rob. Biggenz
You have nothing to worry about. Mine does the same and so does one of my mates'. For some reason some of the Bosch pumps are just noisier than others. I was also worried about this when I first installed mine, but I had stonking fuel pressure at the fuel rail and when the car was mapped, I always had more than enough fuel. I just live with it now. Guest MikeyB571
I have twin external 044's with a swirl pot and mine change tone all the time. They are wired direct to the battery via a relay so it could just a variance in voltage.
