Connecting to wireless networks in the USA with a UK tablet?? will it work okay

Help needed please from someone thats good with I.T or has been in a similar position???

 

I need something cheap and cheerful to take to America for a couple of weeks, we are going to San Franscisco, Vegas and Los Angeles.

I am thinking of buying this to take with me to connect to the internet whilst abroad, it needs to be something cheap and cheerful so it won't matter if it gets lost, destroyed etc. I don't want to take my laptop and my mobile is cr*p.

Can someone tell me if this will work in the USA? I will be intending to connect to the wireless network at the hotels we are staying in.

 

If it isn't suitable can someone recommend something else that will definitely work???

Wifi is a global standard so it will work on pretty much any wifi you come across..
