redsupraman82
hi guys ok with recent news of me going to be a dad (and bricking it!) it looks like i may have to sell the supra but for what?? it would break my heart to sell her after all the work i have put in , but family is first i guess.... so she is a 94 (L) aerotop 5 speed TT, this was a conversion i carried out also using a stage 4 clutch. has a few basic upgrades such as FMIC , HKS SSQV but keeping to stock power because of the box really. the TT engine has covered only 53k and is tight has a drum! has a full leather interior etc well have a look and let me know what you think guys on what you think it might be worth! marc_p
Is it an original TT or did it used to be an N/A?
redsupraman82
sorry it used to be a N/A.
mellonman
the supra can be used as a family car you wont fit a pram in there but a buggy and a child seat fits great
redsupraman82
i know i have thought about this but its also running costs etc and with a buggy in there i cant take the roof off which would be a bit of a waste and (if) i do sell her i would like it to go to someone who will love that it an aerotop and use it!! j_jza80
the supra can be used as a family car you wont fit a pram in there but a buggy and a child seat fits great The issue isn't what can fit in the Supra, its how bad Supras are in a crash compared to more modern cars. Havard
As a guy with three kids I would never class the Supe as a family car. There is no practicality whatsoever. This one looks stunning. OEM skirts on that and it would be perfect. H.
mellonman
yeah but for one little one you can get away with it until the next one comes
trinitom
buy other car, and keep the supra. simple! that's what I did, I got myself a A4 state for the family and the supra only for the Sunday ride with a limited mile insurance. £230 for the Audi and £380 for the supra a year. staples230uk
Mate it's a hard decision to make. I sold mine a few months back miss it like hell but family and work take priority and I'm still young (ish) so will be having another one day. It is a really tough choice and one I hope I won't have to make again lol. Good luck in whatever you do bud!
redsupraman82
Thanks guys but yeah I'm also concerned on safety also plus I guess we could both use the money with the baby on the way?
Noz
If you can afford to run a supra your probably be able to run another car if you drive the supra less. I'd love to be a dad when the times right, but I don't want to feel I have to sell stuff I own and stop enjoying life just in case I may need something. Im sure if you work your money out dude you could afford both if you were sensible. I run two cars to save money, and it's definitely worth it with the cost of fuel. Hate to see someone selling their pride and joy when they don't want to.
redsupraman82
its not that simple, my missis is self employed to theres no maternaty leave pay etc, im shcoked at how much baby stuff even costs! its mental and there is also the fact that i would be driving around in my supra which scares the S*** out of me! dont get me wrong thats what i love about it, but now things have changed as i will be a dad and have to watch it a bit! its just all abit crazy i think the bottom line is that we woudl both need the money as i will need to work my ass off and be there to support her! if that make sense at all? welshbuddy
i love your car , aerotops are just awesome!! if you are selling how much you looking for it?
redsupraman82
I honestly not sure to be honest I reckon about the 8.5 to 9k mark because mainly of the low mileage engine etc what does anyone else think??
Noz
I didn't think NA's with TT lumps went for that sort of money dude, even with low millage. Probably get that if you broke it though.
redsupraman82
Like I said I'm not really sure what she's worth as I built her with out the intention of selling
