Dnk
Depends on its history and when the last service was done, if you dont know then all the fluids and filters etc would be a good place to start. I'd give the car a thorough mechanical inspection if it were mine Tyre pressures (check) Engine oil + filter Gearbox oil + filter Diff oil Coolant Brake fluid Pas fluid Spark plugs Air filter Fuel filter Cam belt Aux belt Edited May 29, 2012 by Dnk (see edit history)
kniff_666
Depending on its service history and who previously owned it, all the oils and fluids and i mean engine oil, transmission oil, diff oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid etc. (plus relevant filters, fuel and oil etc) You would be surprised how much of a difference a loving fluid change can make to the car. Other than that. Any pics to see its current condition / state of presence? [EDIT] and i would also make sure that all the sub-frame bolts are properly torqued up. Dnk
Get a stock airbox back on it or change the crap HKS filter for an Apexi or K & N
Bagci
I thought HKS were pretty good lol :/ I was thinking about HKS cams + belt later too?
Swampy442
They don't call them HKS deathshrooms for nothing, stock airbox is the way forward. Cam belt yes, cams you won't really get the benefits from at stock power levels.
Bagci
So which is the best to buy - stock apexi or k&n - I'm also planning a BPU soon, that was the reason for the HKS cams

safcdixon
I have an apexi on mine, but if i had too choose again, stock would be the option, the induction noise is hidious on the apexi, plus you get the upside of lower intake temps.
