The Raven
Think You'll find that a 2jzgte will need a full emmisions test Only if the tester thinks its a UK spec.
Soopra
if i remove one cat from my 93 n/a will it still pass?
Robzki
Think You'll find that a 2jzgte will need a full emmisions test No I don't Only if the tester thinks its a UK spec. Which after I tell him he knows its not a UK and doesn't have any data as its too old to have a jspec on the system.
ubersonic
my tester [whos friendly ] says it wont pass with out cats As the N/A was never sold in the UK the will be no match for it on the database as the DB only has data for MKiv's with a JZA80 chassis and a 2JZ-GTE engine, so as there's no match for it then if it was first used before 1st August 1995 then it takes a non CAT test If he queries it then its in the 2012 tester manual flowchart for emissions, 7.3 P9. bambisdad
That is correct and is the point I was making in the first place. The post 94 cars have much tighter restrictions.
