Been looking at this for a while now. Has anyone done this?

If so, whats envolved? straight swap or will i need the drive shafts from the AUTO aswell?

With a Jspec AUTO TT diff fitted to my Jspec NA, it will make the gearing taller, correct?

so when i go NA-TT next year ill be revving lower on them long motorway runs and better geared for the power!

any info/opinions woud be great. or a TT6 diff will be even longer...

cheers

If not it will sit about till then.

Most the info has been given, but in a nutshell, yes the diff will fit your car and the drive-shafts will fit too.

However, there is not an OE Supra prop that has splined front and a large diff flange, so you would need to swap your N/A diff flange onto the T.T. diff.

Great info chaps.

So im better off buying the TT AUTO prop aswell and just to clarify my N/A driveshafts are ok or ill have to replace them too?

:yeahthat:

That means; Use N/A prop, T.T. diff with N/A diff flange swapped onto it and your N/A drive-shafts will fit and be good for up to 500? ftlb.

Won't swappng your NA diff for a TT one give you a higher top speed but slower acceleration?

A 3.769 on an N/A gives less top speed and slower acceleration, yet is a ratio that works well with 325+ bhpftlb.

I have this ratio plus 18" wheels and 40 profile tyres on my N/A and it's pants, but when the charger goes on it will be perfect.

Running a 3.769 on an N/A makes no sense at all unless it's in preparation for a number more than 300.

Cheers David, that's what i thought. If i was the OP i'd probably buy the diff but hold off from fitting it and change it at the same time as the TT conversion. There's no sense in making your car slower for a year :)
