I have a XDA II with tomtom 3 navigator for about 6 months now and have used it without any problems. Today however, it decided to reset itself and deleted all my files :swear: :swear: :swear: (next time il remember to back it up!!)

Its basically reset itself to the factory settings. Ive installed tomtom again but the gps doesnt work at all. When i go to gps status in tomtom it displays the following "Error: Unable to launch the gps control panel".

So ive gone to Start > Settings >

NO GPS ICON!!!!! :swear: Looks like its deleted the gps driver/control panel :swear:

Ive searched everywhere on the net including microsofts BS website. cant find how to repair/replace this file. Need some help people in locating this system file?!!

Do you not use the back up option within activesync?

Used pocket pcs and smartphones for a couple of years now and I've always use the option "Automatically back up each time the device connects" , never let me down yet.
