kosmic
I have a XDA II with tomtom 3 navigator for about 6 months now and have used it without any problems. Today however, it decided to reset itself and deleted all my files (next time il remember to back it up!!) Its basically reset itself to the factory settings. Ive installed tomtom again but the gps doesnt work at all. When i go to gps status in tomtom it displays the following "Error: Unable to launch the gps control panel". So ive gone to Start > Settings > NO GPS ICON!!!!! Looks like its deleted the gps driver/control panel Ive searched everywhere on the net including microsofts BS website. cant find how to repair/replace this file. Need some help people in locating this system file?!!

Rob
You didn't use the "restore" facility then, from when you last made a back-up?
michael
Two words... Sprite Backup http://www.spritesoftware.com/en/personal/products/windows_mobile/pocket_pc.htm It's scary how easy it is to do a full reset on the XDA, sprite will save you

Todd
Do you not use the back up option within activesync? Used pocket pcs and smartphones for a couple of years now and I've always use the option "Automatically back up each time the device connects" , never let me down yet.
