barneybrendan
Just fitted a second hand hks bov ,i think its a copy but the bit it sits on is the supra specific 90 degree fitting. The problem is it isnt venting off, instead i am getting a chatter back through the k&n air filter.Does this mean the bov is knackerd and fit for the bin. The-Plethora
A while back mine would sometimes get stuck open. Maybe its something similar? it was an easy fix, take apart the BOV with an allen key and check the valve bit itself, this is the black disk bit that connects with 5 legs to another disk behind it to make the seal. It had simply come unclipped on mine, bit of glue to make sure it didnt happen again and put it back together and no problems since.

Ian C
It might just be set too tight. There is an adjustment nut and bolt on the back of it, try moving that. I can't remember which way you have to turn it to make it open under lower pressure though

SupraDan24
I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not but are you trying to get it to vent when the car is stationary or moving. Mine is pretty quiet when stationary, its much louder when the car is moving and under load.
barneybrendan
stationary.reving then letting off.it just vents off through the air filter and sounds like turbo chatter.Had another tt here aswell yesterday and his vents when revving and letting off quickly.Ive just took it apart and the alan key screws rounded off .2 of them had to be cut.So it has now found its new home (in the bin).
