Ossar
Found this, it wasn't connected to anything except ground. The black wire was along the drivers side A-pillar and looks like its shielded. The box itself was behind the panel that hold the controls for the electrical mirrors, just above the left knee (yeah, its an LHD Euro spec). What the heck is it? Supra Gaz
Oooh that's the black box, don't remove the black box, now, at complete random, one day, your car will explode. In all seriousness, I havnt the foggiest.
kniff_666
i know this is something that you have probably already done but if it is a genuine toyota part and needs to be in the car then there will be a toyota part number on it somewhere. Or a toyota emblem maybe. Once you have found the part number it should be straight forward. (google) Failing that, i would open it up and have a look. SteveC
It's possibly a tracker (in case the car is stolen).
Fitz
It's possibly a tracker (in case the car is stolen). Imagine if it was and now someone is out stealing the car...

I'm also guessing some kind of tracker but that didn't come standard and the box itself looks very oem toyota plastic
