Chris Bailey
Is it just me or does this not make sense? What are you trying to say your supra turns heads or it doesnt?
AndrewOW
I don't think his punctuation button is working. Can the OP try a little harder with the grammar, please. And I don't mean the old lady that gives you sweets when you visit her. Thank you Incidentally, when I'm out topless, the car always gets loads of attention. Which is nice. jazz1
Fast and furious, made the supra's a big hit on the plus side I never see any supra's on the road, hence why people look .
Monkpower
Quite a rare classic now compared to most popular japanese cars. The fact these still turn heads is a testament to the sleek, flowing muscular lines and sheer road presence.

j_jza80
Ugly looking machines lol. Not really. Besides which, those looks cover my favourite FWD chassis (better than the DC2 Integra IMO, as it's more suited to road use, the Integra being very stiff)
Westy
My Supra always turns heads. Parked up outside a restaurant one night and took the above picture. We got a window seat and I noticed there was a guy just standing staring at the Supra from every angle imaginable!!!

stevie_b
I love the Corrados. Small-ish, muscular looking without being lardy, quite quick (I imagine), with 1990s solid VW build quality.
TubbyTwo
I love the Corrados. Small-ish, muscular looking without being lardy, quite quick (I imagine), with 1990s solid VW build quality. My uncle has a VR6 Golf In dragon green, proper 1995 old school VW quality, over 170k miles, driven hard every day and still going strong!! Unlike the new VAG crap, that seems to blow coilpacks as soon as you look at it.

j_jza80
I love the Corrados. Small-ish, muscular looking without being lardy, quite quick (I imagine), with 1990s solid VW build quality. They are great cars. They're not quite as solid as other VWs of that era as they were built by Karmann coach works rather than VW themselves. Performance varies according to the engines. The 2.0 8v being slow but providing over 40mpg average, the 16v engines are good but require revving to get the most from them, the g60 (supercharged 1.8 8v) is quick and tuneable, but the star of the show is the VR6. It's a 2.9 litre in the Corrado (as opposed to being 2.8 in the Golf) and puts out 190hp. Coupled with its 1200kg kerb weight makes it quick, and in stock form it would easily leave an NA Supra (until well over 100 at least) the engines are restricted in stock form, so an aftermarket inlet manifold and some cams can see a huge gain in performance. I wouldn't personally bother with turbo or supercharging, certainly not without a good LSD, but these engines often put out over 400hp with a small turbo. The restricted alternate inlet and exhaust ports make the head quite restrictive, this is the compromise of the VR engine layout and little can be done to solve it. They're great cars to drive, as I said before it has the best FWD chassis going IMO, and when pushed too hard the car pushes into a controllable 4 wheel drift rather than under steering as in most fwd cars. You have to push it very hard for this though, as there's plenty of grip. Steering feel is also very good. The stock brakes aren't fantastic in this day and age, but are easily and cheaply upgraded with VAG parts from other cars (SEAT Cupras and MKIV Golfs bring the usual donors) I easily kept up with a friend in a Civic type R on back roads in my VR6, but almost came a cropper when he slammed his brakes on Oh, and for those that don't know, they have a motorised spoiler on the boot lid that raises at speed (like the active front spoiler on the Supra) Edited May 23, 2012 by j_jza80 (see edit history)
sdistc
Usually the only people who look at Supras are sitting in a Saxo (or similar Chav-box) next to you at the lights, revving their engine in the hope of a "race". Or other Supra owners.
qwarrior
There were 6 of us out on a Coast run at the weekend. That certainly turned heads on the seafront. Most of the attention being directed at Peter's F&F replica. Oh, and one young kid, who turned to his parents and calmly said "knob" when Rob lit his back wheels up out of the car park. Fitz
Evening Ladies and Gents, I wanted to share something with you all. I have owned a fair few High Performance Japanese cars during my years of Car Ownership but they have not turned as many heads in comparison to the Toyota Supra. I intially thought I was imagining it, but one evening my loving wife had expressed her thoughts to me and felt the same way. Upon hearing this I had requested a friend of mine to take my Toyota Supra for a drive and now I agree with my original thought. Does anyone else concur with my theory that the Toyota Supra turns more heads than most cars on the road at present? Well Said
Gaz6002
You thought it, then agreed with yourself. Seems entirely logical.
