creative Posted May 16, 2012 Share Posted May 16, 2012 Anyone familiar with these things before i set fire to it? Car was fine until we lent it to the missus's parents when they were visiting us. They did nearly 250km on three cylinders with the check engine light on..... Hooked up my scanner when I could and found the temp sensor faulty and misfire on cyl 4. Temp sensor changed which cured that fault code and cleaned the plugs which fixed the misfire.... (altho things arent looking good in that department as i now have excessive oil in cyl4) After also fitting a new water pump and timing belt due to the oval rotation of the old pump:blink: i am now having dramas with the cooling fans not kicking in. they work when the aircon is on so as a temp measure we are using it this way. I have replaced the fan control module after testing and Indicating this was at fault. I guess i just need to pick someones brain that has an idea of how these things work before i go and get parts i dont need! My v8 is no where near as bad as this bloody thing!
