barneybrendan
I have been thinking of selling the supra for some sort of old school yank motor.Idealy something that needs a bit of work to keep me busy.I think i am bored of the tt as its not different enough. The passion i had for them seems to be gone since i broke my supercharger project. As much as i get told my supra is a nice example something is still missing for me.TT then bpu is what everybody seems to do which makes me feel a bit like a sheep.I am thinking something like a 1955 bel air, mustang, camaro ,late 60's early 70,s muscle. Has anybody else lost the passion for their supra.

Havard
If we hadn't just taken an interest in a massive house, the Supra would have gone after Dragonball. I had my eyes on a 997 or an M3. Now, I can't think of a better car for the money and therefore we will be keeping it. H.

abtin90
By the way barney since your so familiar with supra's have you considered buying an old school shell and dropping a tt engine or singled engine in it? Would require a lot of work though it would be a great project.

j_jza80
Ford Capri (if youre bothered about it being Yank, they were sold over there as the Mercury Capri) Projects can still be had cheap, and most engine/transmission combinations will fit them well. A more modern alternative would be an rx7 or rx8, their huge transmission tunnels make many swaps relatively easy.
safcdixon
I have always wanted a GTO or a charger that looks like the one from the Blade films, but as above I would consider another rx7 fd but with a Chevy lump Something like this. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=300709575378
Robzki
Has anybody else lost the passion for their supra. Yep After Japfest this year I really have lost that loving feeling. The main cars that interested me up there were the old Datsuns, especially the one that went out on the track and passed everything effortlessly. All the others were screaming and skipping all over the track on lowered suspension and elastic band tyres, the Datsun just looked to be in a different league. I just felt completely out of place at Japfest, it did seem more chavfest. I'm thinking of just leaving the supra as it is now and just let the missus carry on using it as a daily. My old Celica in the corner of the barn is looking like a tempting next project. Or possibly clean the dust from the gt6 project and get on with that instead. garethr
How about combining the two? Chevy LS V8 in the Supra. Lose the rust, poor handling, rubbish brakes, left hand drive (and the , unfortunately), and keep the noise and practicality. http://shop.partsworldperformance.com/ls3-crate-engines http://shop.partsworldperformance.com/tr-6060-six-speed-manual-transmission

Robzki
ROB first thing i done after japfest was to look at datsuns for sale. Old school is definitely the way to go. Easier to work on and after market suppliers don't seem to want to rape you with a cucumber everytime you want to buy a small plastic part. Its also much nicer to sit on ebay and buy that elusive part you need. Its also easier to be 'different'
wile e coyote
i know what you guys meen mine is how i visulised it all those years ago so now its all about maintance The old jap stuff is the way to go but with uprated modern stuff like brakes etc
Robzki
I'd always thought about putting the engine/running gear into the celica but then I guess I'd be back where I started with maintenance etc.
